Try the live demo
A real BackupProof dashboard protecting a made-up bakery: its website, office documents and order database. It backs up and runs restore tests on schedule, so the proofs you see are genuine.

What to look at
- Protected: three items, each with Restore tested and the time of its last passing test.
- An item’s history: open the shop orders database to see each backup and restore test, with the checks that ran: content root, SQLite integrity check and row counts for every table.
- Proofs: each signed statement, and the ledger it’s chained into. Download a proof bundle and verify it yourself with
backupproof proof verify. - Proof report for auditors: on the Proof history page, the evidence pack an auditor would receive, with the control mapping.
What to try
Every screen and wizard works, so you can see the whole product. When you reach the final button, the demo explains what would happen instead of doing it.
- Protect something: pick folders, a website or a database on “This server”, choose storage and a schedule.
- Import: choose a backup tool, enter where the old backups are and click Look for backups to see what a scan finds.
- Servers: choose Connect a server to see the one-line install command. Its code is made up, so it won’t connect anything.
- Storage: add a disk or S3 bucket and click Test connection.
- Settings: see email and webhook alerts, accounts and roles, and timestamp services. Addresses are shortened, and passwords are never shown.
About the demo
- Nothing you do is saved, and no connections are made. Setting things up for real takes a few minutes on your own machine: see Install.
- All data is invented. Nothing from a real server is mounted into the demo.
- It’s rebuilt from scratch every day, so history only goes back to the last reset.
